"Stitched" Animated Thesis Film
August 2023 - May 2025
"Stitched" is an animated senior thesis film directed and animated by Joella Goyette and Alison Haun at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The project officially wrapped in April, 2024 after nearly 8 months of production.
The film is a complete collaboration of our art styles, interests, and preferred ways of working, with Alison focussing heavily on rough animation and me focussing more on character design, clean up, and finishing.
The Plot:
When Voile, a plush fox, is placed on their bed, the other plushies there suddenly treat them like an outsider. After noticing their strange behavior, Voile begins to realize how their appearance has changed, and they slowly remember the traumatic event that has altered them. It isn't until Wight, a patchy looking rabbit plush, finds and comforts Voile that they don't feel as alone in their struggles.
